For this class the grade I believe I deserve is an A. The reason that I believe I deserve this grade is because based off the contract, I have met all expectations as well as went above. For each project, I put in a lot of effort. I also believe that I took advantage of all of the "above and beyond" options offered for each project. I also attended class regularly and participated in every class. I only missed one class meeting and that was due to an illness. Furthermore, I have everything set up on my Weebly account properly, in an organized, clear, manner. I believe I deserve an A because I followed the contract as well as going above the requirement.

The research that states that many social netowrking accounts talk primarily about themselves. I would have to agree with this, but doesnt that make sense? Social networking ahs turned into a space for people to brag, talk about what theyre doing, or vent about events in their daily lives. So, yes I am sure that on my Twitter account I mainly talk about myself but it is MY aacount. Obviously things I say are going to be related to me, hence why I have my own account. Furthermore, many other people's accounts are about themselves too but I do not think that makes some narsacistic, I think that makes them normal. I think it would be more troubling if me or smoeone else was constantly tweeting/posting about things unrelated to them. I

Forbes magazaines mentions one of our readings about how employers may wonder about individuals without a Facebook. Personally, I currently do not have a Facebook. Though I did for the majority of my high school and college life, the reprecussions just are not so worth it anymore. Sure, it is nice to keep in touch with people and see what they are up to, but the threats of future employers lead me to deactivate it. Again and again I heard about how the things on Facebook can really hurt your chances at a future career. I felt like I did not have any red flags that could actually be used against me, but the anxiety of someone snooping around on it was what made me want to delete it. I think it is unfair that an employer would think that someone is trying to hide something, because that may not always be the reality. I deleted mine because I did not want anyone I did not know looking for things they could hold against me. These days it seems like the littlest things could be used by anyone for anything. So mainly, to avoid all the stress and questioning whether or not it was a good idea tovent, or share my opinion, or upload a picture

So far, for the advocacy assignment, I think that the collaboration is still working well. One problem that we had that was minor was that one of the members were on vacation so our communication could not be in person, it had to be via text or computer so that we could be sure to use collaboration regardless of the distance. Other than that though, I feel as if our collaboration has pushed us forward. We have been continuing to form what things we want to come from this as a group and what we really want our audience to feel and get from our project. If I had to do a similar project I would still choose to work with a group. I would like to work with a group because this is a campaign that will not just be reaching out to one group of people. The connections and ideas that my group has will reach and capture parts of an audience that maybe I never considered or could not relate to. Working with the group has only extended all of our ideas and thoughts about our advocacy. I feel as is work

So far I think that my group is moving along accordingly. We have completeled both the annotated bibliography and the design plan which can be found on our group Weebly account. At this point in time, I feel like our topic is still authentic and original. I am beginning to see the different ways we could take this visually and how much we could be creative with the outcome. I am looking forward to sharing the final project with the class because I am certain that our advocation for wine will be successful. The websites listed also have interesting visual advocacy campaigns. In particular, I like the forwomen.org site, their balance of color, text, and pictures is perfect. I think this is successful because the pictures it does offer provide the audience with personal connections to the issues this campaign is adovcating for. I also think that the font, color, size, etc. looks well organized and does just enough to catch the reader's attention to each point they are trying to make. I also like the campain for i amnotaloan. org. I think that the graphics they provide our very well put together. Unlike the women one this uses a lot less text, the visuals that our provided provide an interesting voice to the audience and they certainly caught my attention. I even signed up for the campaign after looking over the site and I definitely think it is an original topic.

In my opinion, collarboration is working together to acheive a common goal. In other words, it is not simply splitting up the work so that everyone completes something that is a part of the project individually, but more of bouncing ideas off each other. Coming up with designs, layouts, etc. can also be collaborative. The topic that my group has chosen is being advocates for the use of correct grammar. This is becoming something that has been lost mainly through the use of social networking sites. This poor grammar has carried over into college classroom,s academic journals, etc. the phonomenon of poor grammar needs to be ended for the sake of english so that is why my group feels so strongly about this topic. The difference between co-authoring and collabortation is that co-authoring is when you simply each contribute a piece of the puzzle but do not work on the puzzle together. Simply, everyone does one porition and puts it all together whereas collaboration people come together to work on all piece of the puzzle together. I have had experiences working in groups before and I am never really a fan, especially when I do not know my groups members. When I know my group memebers well enough for me to say, "hey, I think that needs more fine tuning" or "maybe add this and drop that" and I know they won't get offended, then I feel more comfortable. Other times, I simply just feel like I take on the majority of the work because the group members just simply do not care. Benefits of collabortaing are gaining points of view you never thought of, seeing things differently, being inspired by your group members, etc. The drawbacks are not getting along with the group, not being satisfied with the members, contribution, and more.

Advocate means to believe in something. To me, an advocate means
that you are passionate in the topic, event, etc. that you want to support this
cause. You have faith in this principle so much so that you would tell other
people or express your belief in this area. The items I collected are pictures
of flyers and brochures from around Rowan’s campus. In these pieces I think what
they do well at advocating is a few things. First, I think they are catchy and
allow people to be drawn to them. Next, I think that they give reasoning for why
you should be interested in the cause. For instance, my example if the “Mustache
March” and right on the flyer they write, “support Rowan’s march as we raise
money for the American Stroke Association”. This stands out to me because it
shows that these people stand behind the cause and that is easy to understand
because I may have known someone who suffered from a stroke, etc. so I would
want to become a part of this as well. I also have a flyer from Rowan’s
Christian Fellowship group, what I think this flyer does well in is making it
known that they are passionate about this group by listing numerous meeting
times and dates. I also like that they provide smaller groups that they have
formed by having meeting separated between men and women which shows that you
can become a part of this in many different ways.

I enjoyed today's presentations just as much as last weeks. Everyone's presentations were great, and I was impressed over and over again. My favorite one today was probably Maggie's, not only was her presentation reallly well put together but it was touching and adorable. For some reason, I took it very seriously and I now will cherish play with my loved ones. Overall, I really enjoyed all of the presentations. This was a really interesting project and was much more exciting then typical college presentations. My all time favorite is Seth's but Maggie comes in a close second. I feel like I bonded with my classmates over this and I now understand everyone in the classroom a little better. All in all, the This I Believe assignment was really fun to not only put together but to be a part of as well, I really enjoyed everyones presentations.

Today's presentations were all amazing! I was actually really impressed with some of the awesome topics people chose to use for this assignment. Not one of the presentations today made me bored. They all were really a job well done. My favorite was Seth's. His video was amazing and his voice sounded like a commerical. The reason I liked his most was probably his use of audio, music, and pictures to create a video that combined them all to create something awesome. Not only were his elements amazing but the story he told was inspirational as well. I am looking forward to seeing more presentations next class!

The argument of Bry's TIB is clear, it is stated right away. Bry's argument is that she believes in a dog being a best friend. Bry did not indicate her sources because she used all of her own
pictures. I actually like the fact that she did not use any outside pictures
because the fact that she has so many pictures of her own shows how much her dog
really does mean to her. I think that Bry’s project is aesthetically appealing,
it is organized and the pictures make perfect sense with the layout of her
essay. There is nothing that I think is lacking in Bry’s TIB; her essay is solid
and the photos do the essay justice. The font and content of the project are
plain, but the pictures are what really brighten up her idea. They are of good
size and are colorful. Not only that, but they provide lots of imagery for the
audience so that they can clearly see that Harley, Bry’s dog, truly is her best
friend. Grammatically I did not notice any errors in Bry’s essay. I was her
partner for the proofread day as well so I can tell that Bry has already made
improvements to her essay based of my reading of her first draft. I believe that
her essay and pictures are arranged on her page well too. The audio recording
works well with the size, organization, and quality of Bry’s photo essay. I did
not find it awkward whatsoever. I am close friends with Bry, so yes, this was
something I already know. Though it may not have been original to me because I
already knew Bry, I do know that her belief is very true. The fact that I did
know Bry prior to seeing this project allowed me to see this belief of hers come
to life which was enjoyable. The theme of Bry’s project is very consistent. Her
essay lays out the things she does with her dog, their emotional tie, and other
things she thought were worth mentioning about the relation with her dog and the
theme in the photo essay provides a clear visualization for those themes too.
